Muslim Women In Teaching

We are a faith-based, non-governmental organization led by female Muslim teachers committed to promoting girl-child education and women's empowerment in Ghana.

About Us

MUSWIT Ghana is a faith-based, non-governmental organization led by passionate female Muslim teachers. Our mission is to promote girl-child education and women’s empowerment through innovative training in fashion, technology, and leadership.

We are committed to breaking the cycles of early marriage, poverty, and dependency by equipping women with employable skills and confidence.

Our Programs

We provide accessible training in both urban and rural communities, blending modern tools with real-world needs:

Fashion & Creative Arts
Technology
Entrepreneurial Skills

At MUSWIT Ghana, we are committed to empowering women and girls by equipping them with practical skills that create real change. Our core programs in Fashion, Technology, and Entrepreneurship are designed to foster self-reliance, innovation, and leadership across communities.

In our Fashion program, participants learn much more than just design; they gain powerful tools for economic empowerment. Women and girls are trained in tailoring, pattern making, fabric selection, and sustainable fashion practices. Through hands-on instruction, they transform creativity into marketable products. We also incorporate business principles to ensure graduates can brand, price, and promote their own work. Many go on to launch their own fashion lines or find employment in established fashion houses, becoming proud contributors to their households and communities.

The Technology program introduces women to the digital world, often for the first time. We offer beginner-friendly training in computer literacy, coding, website development, and digital marketing. These skills help participants become creators, not just consumers, of technology. Our courses emphasize real-world applications, critical thinking, and innovation, and are supported by mentorship and project-based learning. Graduates are well-prepared to enter the digital workforce or even build their own tech ventures.

Through our Entrepreneurship training, women learn how to transform their passions and skills into viable businesses. We teach business planning, market research, financial management, and online marketing strategies. Whether launching a home-based detergent brand, fashion boutique, or digital service, participants gain confidence and practical know-how. This program is designed to promote financial independence and sustainable growth, turning women into agents of change and role models for future generations.
