Who We Are

More Than an NGO — A Sisterhood

MUSWIT (Muslim Women in Teaching) was born from a simple but powerful belief: that educating and empowering a woman transforms not just her life, but her entire community and the generations that follow.

Founded by educators, advocates, and community leaders, MUSWIT bridges the gap between aspiration and opportunity for women and girls across our region — delivering programs in education, skills development, ICT, and civic empowerment.

We are not just an organization. We are a movement driven by love, purpose, and an unshakeable commitment to women's potential.

Education Support

Scholarships, school supplies, tutoring, and mentorship to ensure girls stay in school and achieve academic excellence.

Vocational Training (TVET)

Practical skills in tailoring, catering, cosmetology, agriculture, and more — enabling women to generate sustainable income.

ICT & Digital Skills

Digital literacy, coding, graphic design, and digital entrepreneurship training for the 21st-century economy.

A Decade of Making History

From humble beginnings to national impact — our story is one of persistence, passion, and purpose.

MUSWIT Founded

A small group of female educators and advocates come together with a shared dream of empowering Muslim women through education.

2015
2017

First TVET Program Launched

Our inaugural Vocational Training cohort welcomed 45 women, with 92% finding employment or starting businesses within 6 months.

ICT & Digital Skills Division

Responding to the digital revolution, MUSWIT launched its technology empowerment arm, training 200+ women in year one alone.

2019
2021

Government Partnership

MUSWIT formalized its first government MOU, unlocking new funding streams and policy advocacy channels for women's education.

2,000 Women Milestone

MUSWIT celebrated empowering its 2,000th beneficiary — a milestone that confirmed the scale of our growing impact.

Support & Launch

Graduates receive post-training mentorship, market access, and seed support to launch careers or businesses.
